On May 22 afternoon, based on the 500 thousand Yuan of first donation made that day when the massive earthquake occurred at Wenchuan, Sichuan Province, upon the proposal of President Xu Guanju from Transfer Group, the biggest shareholder of the company and President Wang Wei from Wynca, the Board of Directors made decision that Wynca would make another RMB 30 million Yuan of donation to Sichuan disaster area, and this excluded the over RMB 660 thousand Yuan donation volunteered by the entire company employees. Meanwhile, the company will furthermore establish a special fund to subsidize those employees whose children has lost or died in this disaster and the children’s education of other needy employees of the company. 
    At the moment the 8.0 earthquake happened at Wenchuan on May 12, 45 members including media journalists of all levels and employees from Wynca was just in batches and in different cars leaving for Xilong Industrial Silicon Co., Ltd. that is a wholly owned subsidiary of the company located at Aba Prefecture after participating the panda adoption ceremony but unfortunately encountered the earthquake. That evening, all the above-mentioned members were missing, the municipal CPC committee, the municipal government and Wynca Group immediately sent members to Sichuan for rescue on hearing the news. Later, over 30 rescue members in total in six batches in succession reached DujiangYan and Yingxiu Town, Wenchuan County, Sichuan to look for all the missing members with all endeavors. Up to the present day, 20 members of Wynca have been unfortunately missing and dead, causing great loss and misery to Wynca Chemical Group. 
    At 14:28, prior to starting the short donation ceremony, employees from the group HQ wearing white flowers on the arm,  stand at attention for two minutes to mourn to the victims at 5?12 super earthquake disaster in front of the building of Wynca Group. President Wang Wei who just survived from the disaster has witnessed the emergent organization of disaster relief by the Vice-secretary General of Aba Prefecture and County Magistrate of Wenchuan. He expressed that at this time of national disaster, enterprises should undertake more social responsibilities to contribute for rebuilding the disaster area.  
    After ending the silent mourning, Zhang Shunnian, a member of the municipal CPC standing committee and the standing vice-mayor hosted the donation ceremony and Wang Huaying, a member of the municipal standing committee and the Minister of Propaganda was present at the ceremony. The General Manager of the company Ji Chengjian represented the company to make the denotation and he said, “The great 5?12 earthquake occurred at Wenchuan, Sichuan is a disaster for China and Wynca Chemicals too. As an enterprise that has high social responsibility, Wynca Chemicals immediately made 500 thousand Yuan of donation at the first time upon occurring of the earthquake. Today we would like to make another donation in RMB 30 million Yuan, together with the personal donation in 660 thousand Yuan from the company employees to Sichuan disaster area.” 
    At the donation ceremony, Liang Jianhua, Deputy Party Secretary of the municipal CPC and the Honorable President of the Municipal Charity General Federation, represented the Charity General Federation to express her hearty thanks to all employees from Wynca Chemicals. She pointed out that Wynca Chemicals Group was also victim in this disaster, but the company still actively made donation and all employees of the company also volunteered to make donation to the disaster area in front of the national disaster, this shows that Wynca Chemicals Group is an enterprise that has high social responsibility and each member of the group has a selfless and loving heart.     
    New report: Up to May 26, the second donation amount from the company and employees has reached 30 million 687.9 thousand Yuan and the total donation has reached 31 million 182.9 thousand Yuan together with the company’s first donation in 500 thousand Yuan.
